Arcaya x Mondrian: Introducing Portugal’s First-Ever Mondrian Hotel
We’re proud to announce a defining milestone for both Arcaya and the Algarve: Portugal’s very first Mondrian Hotel is coming to Arcaya.
Bondstone has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ennismore — one of the world’s most forward-thinking hospitality groups — to bring the iconic Mondrian brand to life at Arcaya, Bondstone’s flagship prime sustainable village under development in the Algarve.
“Portugal, and the Algarve in particular, offers the ideal setting for our first property in the country thanks to its rich culture, stunning landscape, and a globally sought-after lifestyle. Together with Bondstone, we’re creating something that will resonate with both international travellers and the local community.” said Philippe Zrihen, Head of Americas and Brand COO for Mondrian at Ennismore.
Paulo Loureiro, our CEO, added: “This partnership reflects Bondstone’s mission to develop places that combine beauty, purpose, and longevity. Arcaya will be a living, breathing community—open year-round, rooted in nature, and designed for a new generation seeking inspiration, wellbeing, and meaningful connection. Mondrian will be a central pillar of this vision.”
Scheduled to open in 2028, Mondrian Arcaya will bring its signature creative energy, bold design, and cultural edge to one of the Algarve’s most ambitious new destinations — perfectly aligned with the spirit of Arcaya.
