Preserving the hidden world: Bondstone supports new chair in subterranean biodiversity

Bondstone is honored to be part of the newly launched Chair in Sustainability of Subterranean Ecosystems – Loulé, led by CE3C – Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes and the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.

This initiative represents a pioneering collaboration between science, public institutions, and private sector commitment to biodiversity preservation. Focused on the unique subterranean habitats of the Algarve’s Barrocal region, it reinforces our belief that caring for the planet means protecting not only what we see on the surface, but also what we don’t — the fragile ecosystems that thrive beneath it.

We’re thrilled to support this groundbreaking project alongside internationally renowned researcher Ana Sofia Reboleira and contribute to the conservation of one of the world’s most biodiverse cave ecosystems.
