the Team

Bárbara is a Managing Associate at Bondstone, supporting the Legal team, by providing legal advice to the ongoing projects and future investments, and enforcing our stringent compliance and AML obligations. Prior to joining the firm, Bárbara worked for 2 years also as an Associate, providing legal support and advice in different areas such as real estate, corporate law, insolvency, banking and finance law, to a variety of corporate and individual clients. Bárbara started her career at SPS Advogados where she spent 2.5 years, dealing mainly with litigation and insolvency proceedings, related to mortgage and consumer credits.

Bárbara holds a Law degree from Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL) and a Master’s degree in Legal Practice from ULisboa’s Faculty of Law, majoring in Tax and Finance Law. Bárbara is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Carlos is Bondstone’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), leading the firm’s operations and overseeing the execution of its real estate development pipeline, with a particular focus on Arcaya, Bondstone’s flagship project in Vilamoura.

Carlos brings nearly 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate sector, having held senior leadership roles at CETIM SA, Engexpor and Teixeira Duarte. He brings extensive operational expertise across the full project lifecycle, with a strong track record in delivering complex, large-scale developments across Portugal.

Carlos holds a MSc degree in Civil Engineering from Técnico (IST). He also completed a post-graduate diploma in Project Management and Evaluation at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and later an MBA from Católica SBE and Nova SBE, in collaboration with MIT Sloan.

Carlos is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Fátima is an Analyst at Bondstone, supporting the team in administrative and office activities such as organizing and managing files, scheduling meetings, and appointments, coordinating external office suppliers and service providers and managing information and correspondence, among others.

Fátima holds a Tourism Management degree from Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies (ESHTE) and has worked in different sectors, such as Aviation, Hospitality and more recently as Personal Assistant. Fátima is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Filipe is part of Bondstone’s Legal team, supporting Arcaya’s ongoing operations and providing legal assistance to projects under development, while ensuring compliance with the company’s standards of professionalism, rigour and quality.

Prior to joining Bondstone, Filipe developed his own independent legal practice for 1 year and 4 months and, before that, worked for approximately 2 years at Isolda Brasil Advogados, where he served as a trainee lawyer. Filipe also began his professional career at RP & Associados, gaining experience in a legal practice environment.

Filipe holds a Law degree from ULisboa’s Faculty of Law.

Filipe is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Gonçalo is a Managing Associate at Bondstone, supporting the Asset Management team to cover a multitude of critical tasks in project planning, evaluation, design coordination, and execution. Before joining the firm in 2023, Gonçalo was a Project Leader at Openbook Architecture. During his tenure, he was actively involved in numerous workplace projects, including several award acclaimed ventures such as Vda Vieira de Almeida, Deloitte, KPMG, Miniclip, Microsoft, as well as residential undertakings in Lisbon, Porto, and Cascais. Additionally, he contributed to notable hospitality projects, including the recent renovation of Hotel Ritz.

Gonçalo holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Lisbon School of Architecture. He is also an active member of the Portuguese Chamber of Architects (Ordem dos Arquitectos). Gonçalo is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Íris is an Associate at Bondstone, leading and taking full responsibility for the Marketing department. She is responsible for defining and implementing the company’s marketing and communication strategy, as well as overseeing the strategic and operational coordination of its projects.

Prior to joining Bondstone’s team, Íris served as Communication & Partnerships Manager at AON, and before that she worked at AMT Consulting as SAP Junior Consultant. Íris started her professional career as a Trainee at Deloitte, in the Human Resources and Internal Communication department.

Íris holds a Human Resources Management degree from ISCTE Business School. During her degree, Íris studied as an exchange student at Università Degli Studi di Verona. She has a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences at FCH-Católica. Additionally, she completed an intensive course in Digital Marketing & Strategy at EDIT. Íris is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Joana is Bondstone Properties’ Sales Director. Joana leads the in-house sales department, and is in charge of establishing effective sales strategies, driving revenue growth and developing strong client relationships. Joana has close to ten years of professional experience in sales, marketing, consulting, management, entrepreneurship, real estate, retail, and hospitality.

Joana holds a Law Degree from Autonomous University of Lisbon (UAL) and an Executive Education Degree in Real Estate Law from Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Joana is fluent in Portuguese, English, French.

João is a Director at Bondstone, focusing on the operational management of the firm’s real estate projects. Prior to joining the firm in June 2022, João worked as a Site Manager at Teixeira Duarte, where he was involved in several high-end residential developments. Before that, João worked as an Assistant Site Manager at Martifer.

João holds a MSc degree in Civil Engineering from Técnico (IST) having also studied at the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden). João is fluent in Portuguese and English.

João is a Sales Coordinator for the Asset Management team at Bondstone, and is currently based in Porto leading the sales efforts at Greenstone.

João is finishing up his Art, Conservation and Restoration BSc at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. João is fluent in Portuguese and English.

João Pedro Silva is a Partner at Bondstone Ventures, Bondstone’s venture capital platform, with extensive experience across banking, private equity, real estate, and venture capital. Prior to joining Bondstone, João was Investment Director at Buenavista Equity Partners, an Iberian fund manager, and previously worked at Afrika Financial Group and Norfin, where he developed expertise in investment management and real estate.

João is a CFA charterholder and holds a BSc in Physics Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, a double-degree MSc in Engineering and Energy Management from Instituto Superior Técnico and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a MSc in Economics with a major in Finance and Banking from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics. He is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.

Mário is MEP Project Manager at Bondstone, responsible for the coordination and oversight of electrotechnical systems, energy management solutions, and intelligent building systems at Arcaya, the company’s flagship development in Vilamoura, Algarve.

He brings extensive experience in technical supervision and project coordination, having held senior roles at MEGAUTORIA Lda, DC – Dinis Coelho, and Grupo Rolear. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams on the implementation and on-site supervision of complex building systems across the Algarve.

At Bondstone, Mário plays a key role in ensuring technical excellence, performance optimisation, and rigorous quality control throughout the development process.

Nélia is a Director at Bondstone, spearheading the firm’s accounting, tax, payroll, and treasury functions. Nélia is an experienced accountant having worked for VLGA and Lusoconta, two multi-client accounting firms, over the span of the last 15 years.

Nélia holds an accounting and auditing degree from Coimbra Business School and has been a member of the Portuguese Chartered Accountants Association (OCC) since 2010. Nélia is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Paulo Loureiro is the founder and CEO of Bondstone. Paulo is an experienced corporate executive and investment professional with relevant experience in the financial, real estate and energy sectors in Europe, USA and LATAM. Since 2016, Paulo has structured real estate projects in Portugal representing an investment of more than €150 million.

Prior to founding Bondstone, Paulo was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in New York. He started his career with Schlumberger the world’s leading oilfield services provider – spending six years in Argentina and Brazil holding various operational and management positions.

Paulo received his MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and holds a Master of Science degree majoring in Maths and Physics. He is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese and lives in Lisbon, Portugal.

Pedro is Project and Construction Director at Bondstone, leading and coordinating the various workstreams of the Arcaya project, with strategic responsibility for planning, execution, and control. He works in close collaboration with the Asset Management team, ensuring high standards of sustainability, quality, and efficiency throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Pedro brings extensive experience in leading large-scale projects in Portugal and Angola, including luxury developments in Quinta do Lago and Albufeira. He previously worked at Ferrinho Construções and Fastrooij Luxury Investments.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from IPBeja, as well as postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety and Fire Safety in Buildings (3rd and 4th Risk Categories). Pedro is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Pedro is Construction Project Manager at Bondstone, overseeing construction supervision, project coordination, and on-site execution at Arcaya in Vilamoura.

He has held senior positions at CONSULGAL – Consultores de Engenharia e Gestão, MEGAUTORIA Lda, EBC Engenharia, and Proman S.A., managing a diverse portfolio of residential, infrastructure, and energy-related projects across Portugal. His background combines strong technical expertise with hands-on site leadership.

At Bondstone, Pedro is focused on maintaining execution discipline, construction quality, and delivery standards aligned with the company’s development strategy.

Sara is a Managing Associate at Bondstone, where she is part of the Legal team. She provides legal support to ongoing projects and future investments, while also ensuring full compliance with regulatory obligations and anti-money laundering requirements.

Before joining the company, Sara worked for 3 years as an associate, providing legal advice and support across various areas such as real estate, corporate law, immigration, and nationality, assisting a diverse range of clients including both individuals and corporations.

Sara began her career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she spent 2.4 years working in political and consular diplomacy, handling the reporting of relevant matters and supporting administrative tasks.

She holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a Master’s in International Law and International Relations. Sara is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Tirza is a Customer Experience Manager at Bondstone, dedicated to optimizing and enhancing the client journey at Arcaya, Bondstone’s flagship residential development in the Algarve. Her role focuses on ensuring that every client interaction reflects Bondstone’s commitment to professionalism, care, and exceptional service.

Before joining the firm, Tirza held leadership roles at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, Crowne Plaza Vilamoura, and Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort. Tirza holds a degree in Hotel Management from Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve. Tirza is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Virgínia is a Sales Assistant at Bondstone, supporting the Sales team in managing and converting leads at Arcaya. She guides prospective buyers throughout their purchasing journey, ensuring a seamless experience from first enquiry to reservation and handover, while working closely with the Sales, Marketing, Operations and Legal teams.

Prior to joining Bondstone, Virgínia worked as Concierge at Tivoli Marina Vilamoura, where she was responsible for delivering personalised service to an international client base and supporting guest relations. Through her experience in hospitality, she developed a strong customer-focused approach and attention to detail.

Virgínia holds a degree in Tourism Management from Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve. She is fluent in Portuguese and English.
